Our impact

Since our founding in 2023 we have grown from one programme to five, working across Sofala Province. These are the numbers behind that work — reported figures from our field teams and partners, not projections.

By project

3R — Resiliência Tripla

• More than 250 lead farmers trained in agroforestry, half of them women
• 8 community tree nurseries established, with capacity for 40,000 native seedlings a year
• First formal jobs created for women in the project area
• Former DDR (demobilised combatant) beneficiaries trained in reforestation and biochar production

CdR — Clube de Raparigas

• 25 girls active in the club in Nhantsanga, Cheringoma; 20 completed the full programme year
• Over 1,600 girls and boys aged 10–19 reached in schools with health and life-skills education
• Over 1,000 out-of-school young women reached with the same programme in their communities

BioLink

• 360+ people took part in environmental awareness campaigns and events, ahead of target
• Community biodiversity mapping under way in 4 communities, in partnership with Terra Firma
• A baseline study of 270 households found that all of them depend on forest products — firewood, wild vegetables, fruit, medicinal plants — for daily life, underlining why the forest itself has to be part of the solution

How we measure impact

We report against indicators agreed with each donor, and every project keeps its own monitoring records — the figures above come directly from those. In 2026 we are also building a foundation-wide MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) system with an external specialist, so that our results across projects can be tracked and compared more rigorously over time. We would rather show real, sometimes uneven, progress than a polished number we can’t stand behind.
